Easter Goodness!

We love Easter at our house! I don't do a million decorations like Christmas but we do have lots of activities, pretty dresses and fun-filled baskets to look foward to.
First up, What holiday would be complete without Cards for Grandma
Trying to find a craft that fits ages 2-9 is a little challenging. Mae was not at all amused with this project. She kept reading the newspapers that we were using to protect the tablecloth!
It's just a handprint and cotton balls! Supplies needed: paint, foam brush, cotton balls, assorted paper, crayons, glue and googley eyes (optional)

Google-y eyes

Every year we do an Easter Egg Hunt but this year I thought it would be fun to do an Easter Countdown as well! I found the idea here simple-easter-countdown

Each egg is numbered and has a verse relating to the last days of Christ's life and an object in it. For example: In the #2 egg "Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief
priests, and said unto them, “What will ye give me, and I will deliver
him unto you?” And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of
silver. Mathew 26:14-15" (And in the egg: three dimes.)

For this project you will need 12 plastic eggs, a marker or sticker numbers, the verse list (click the link above) and your objects (found on the verse list)
Obviously, I'm getting this idea to you a little close to Easter, So you could make up your countdown eggs and do a scavenger hunt with them this weekend! (Not only does this reinforce the real reason for Easter but it's also a healthy alternative to candy-filled eggs!)

"He Is Not Here. He Is Risen!"

Have A Blessed Easter!

  3. Aw, these are really cute! I'm HORRIBLE about doing crafts with my kids: in other words, we never do crafts. This one doesn't look too hard and I'm sure they'd get a kick out of it. thanks for sharing, and for stopping by my blog today :)
