You're six, sitting in "Big church"
"Is it almost done?"
"I'm thirsty"
Your mom shakes her head "No" and turns her attention back to the pulpit.
"I need to go to the bathroom"
"REALLY!! Can I go to the bathroom?"
She whipsers back, "He's almost done."
"Sniff, sniff, sniff...." Mom hands you a tissue,
"I don't need to blow my nose"
"I don't like this pen."
She doesn't even acknowledge you this time...
"Haley's touching me."
"Haley's touching my paper."
"Haley's foot touched my foot!"
Now she's glaring at you.
But you can't help it!
You're soooooooooooooooo Boooooooored!!!
Sound Familiar?
This is every Sunday for us. Until now.
Let me introduce you to
The Busy Book!
I spent an evening a couple of weeks ago searching online for printable Bible activity pages and came up with this! A binder filled with coloring, activity and drawing pages just for Brett to use during church.
I used 20 or so leftover sheet protectors and bought some dry erase markers at the $ Tree.
So each page can be erased and filled out over and over again!
My favorite page is the
"Draw the Speaker" page.
I also put some blank primary lined papers in the back of the book for taking notes.
(or for writing and re-writing your name and sight words, as has been done so far)
Here are some of the links I used.
This has really helped!
Now the adults in our row can actually listen...imagine that!
Have a good week!
Very cool! I also like the "Draw the Speaker" page. That picture made me smile. :) We'll have to do something with writing when we come over so we can compare the boys' handwriting. I think it's so cute at this age watching them try to write stuff.
